Taking to Twitter, Bieber shared a moving post honoring Ayad, who was tragically killed when assailants shot 89 people to death in the Bataclan.

"Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas we lost in the tragedy. He was a part of the team for years and I wish I would've had more time to thank him," Bieber wrote. "Make sure to appreciate people while you have them. Thanks Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed. Thoughts and prayers are with your family & friends #prayforparis."

Bieber, like the rest of the world, has been deeply affected by the tragedy in Paris, breaking down in tears and even having to exit the stage during his Los Angeles show on Friday.

UMG chairman Lucian Grainge also paid tribute to Ayad in an email to his colleagues obtained by the Los Angeles Times.

"This is an unspeakably appalling tragedy. I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow," Grainge wrote about losing Ayad. "On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family."

British pop group the Vamps also paid their respects to Ayad, as well as UMG employee Marie Mosser, who was also tragically killed during the attacks.

"We want to pass on our deepest condolences to the families and friends of Thomas and Marie who were a huge part of The Vamps team in France and who tragically passed away Friday night in Paris," the group wrote on Facebook. "They will be sorely missed by us and all that knew them."
