A video capturing the shooting death of an unarmed black teen by a white police officer in Chicago has gone viral and once again spurred protests and debates throughout the country about the struggle of black men against white police officers.

The dashcam video shows Chciago police officer Jason Van Dyke shooting and killing unarmed teenager LaQuan McDonald. McDonald was shot 16 times.

The video is first being released now, though the shooting occured back in 2014, the same year that the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and Eric Garner, in New York, sparked nationwide protests over their deaths. Both of the cops in those cases, Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo, were not indicted.
