Lake Baikal is an ancient, massive lake in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia. For twenty five million years, it's considered the oldest, clearest and deepest lake in the world. It's also known as the largest fresh water lake by volume. It contains more water than all North American Great Lakes combined. For almost five months a year, the lake is covered with clear turquoise ice. It's beautiful is a breathtaking view.

The exhibition video of a group of Siberian ethnic percussionists called 'Ethnobeat' has gone viral on the internet. They played on frozen water waves of the lake with pleasure and delight in the soul. They found out by pure chance that the clearest lake ice gives off a distinctive and haunting sound. It was when the wife of one of the drummers slipped over the ice and fell.
