Khloe Kardashian, who is the stepmother to Lamar Odom's child with ex-wife Liz Morales, has vowed to become more involved in the child's life due to personal problems she is experiencing. Kardashian, 28, is married to NBA player Odom who has two children with Morales, who stars in TLC's newest show Starter Wives Confidential.

Odom and Morales' daughter, Destiny Odom, is reportedly suffering from depression. She admitted on Twitter that she has low self-esteem and that she tried to cut herself.

"I feel as If I am drowning in my own emotions, and I have no home to save me," the troubled teen reportedly tweeted on January 27.

When one of her followers asked when was the last time she caused harm to herself and how many times she has done it, she replied, "tonight and I don't count."

According to a source, the teen is depressed because her mother has not been able to spend as much time with her - she has been busy filming Starter Wives and she would like to spend time with her father, who is based in California because he plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Her dad wasn't around much when she was growing up," a source reportedly told Star magazine.

Now, Kardashian- who married Odom in 2009- will make more of a concerted effort to provide emotional support to the troubled teen as her stepmother, according to Star.

The upcoming issue of Star with the featured story will arrive on newsstands on Feb. 8.

When TLC premiered the first episode of Starter Wives Confidential last week, Odom's ex discussed their previous relationship. She also revealed that she has never been intimate with another man since they broke up in 2009. Kardashian tweeted that Morales' stories about Odom were "lies" the night the show premiered.

"Funny...That NOW everyone has a story to tell. LOL I love story time," Kardashian wrote. "These lies truly make me sick. Disgusted by the stories you are spreading...karma," she added.

After Kardashian made it clear to her followers that she was talking about Morales, Odom's ex-girlfriend tweeted a response: "MY life is MY life! TRUTH was there from the beginning...unlike...#TruThAlwaysPrevails" Morales fired back.
