'The Blacklist' Season 3: An Assassination Is In The Cards, 'The Director: Conclusion' Plot Revealed

The AMC series took the network by storm this winter, drawing in viewers with its eclectic mix of Southern charm and feudal desperation. As season 1 came to a close, Sunny (Daniel Wu) was faced with the chance to off Quinn (Marton Csokas) once and for all. Now, fans across the country are wondering if Wu's character was actually successful.

"Quinn's the ultimate survivor, but it's definitely an open question," executive producer Alfred Gough teased, according to TV Guide.

'American Crime' Season 2: Premiere Plot Revealed, Who Will You Be Cheering For?

It appears that is a question that will ultimately be answered should Into the Badlands snag a second season. In the meantime, fellow executive producer Miles Millar fleshed out how important Quinn's ultimate demise would be for Sunny.

"[Sunny's] been almost brainwashed by Quinn, who he sees as a father figure and mentor. These six episodes have really been Sunny's struggle to break away and reject Quinn, which is all he's ever known," Millar explained. "So it's a huge moment when he drives him through with the sword, and it really speaks to the beginning of Sunny's journey of redemption and self-discovery."
