The Mortal Instruments adaptation has a lot of ground to cover in 13 episodes, and bringing Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) up to speed will be Jace's (Dominic Sherwood) number one priority as the dust settles from the series premiere. Brand new to New York's supernatural underground, Clary will need to figure out why her mother barred her from the world of the Shadowhunters.

During "The Decent Into Hell Is Easy," it appears Clary and her new demon-hunting pal will head to the Silent City to answer just that question.

"With the knowledge that Valentine is alive and on the hunt for The Mortal Cup, the Institute is on high alert," ABC Family (soon to be Freeform) teased in regards to episode 2. "Not wanting to waste time, Jace jumps into action and figures that Clary's memories are the key to finding Jocelyn and The Mortal Cup."

Life will quickly take a turn for the worse, however, when Clary's mundane (human) friend Simon (Alberto Rosende) finds himself caught up with a pack of vampires. Episode 3, "Dead Man's Party," will see "Clary, Jace, Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) work to rescue Simon from the vampire hideout, Hotel du Mort."
