Narcos showrunner Adam Fierro is stepping down from his position, leaving the series without an official showrunner, says Entertainment Weekly. Producers Jose Padilha and Eric Newman will work with fellow writers and produce the show without an official showrunner.

Meanwhile, there is reason to celebrate for those behind and in front of the camera on Narcos. The series was nominated for two Golden Globes earlier in the month.

One is for Best Drama Series, where it will compete against Fox's Empire, HBO's Game of Thrones, USA's Mr. Robot and Starz's Outlander. The other is for star Wagner Moura, who plays Escobar in the series. He will compete against Jon Hamm from AMC's Mad Men, Rami Malek from Mr. Robot, Bob Odenkirk from AMC's Better Call Saul and Liev Schreiber from Showtime's Ray Donovan.

Tune in to NBC on Sunday, Jan. 10 starting at 8 p.m. ET to see if Narcos and/or Moura will pick up Golden Globes.
