2015 was a bit of a bust for fans waiting for the Blue Mountain State Movie, but it appears 2016 will be starting off on a significantly better note.

'BMS' Stars Revealing News About Movie 'Soon?'

Fans have been waiting throughout the year for any updates on the movie, which was originally slated for a Spring 2015 release but never materialized. Since then, there has still been no movie, no trailer, or any real sign that the film was coming out.

However, it appears that could change soon, as Darin Brooks, who reprised his role as Alex Moran in the film, has revealed on Twitter that some big news concerning the film will be announced in the first week of the New Year!

'BMS" Creators Working Out A Deal Woth Lionsgate?

A fan tweeted to Brooks, as well as his co-stars Alan Ritchson and Romanski (Thad and Sammy), as well as the film's director Eric Falconer, asking them if there was anything new to report on concerning the film's status--to which Brooks responded positively.

"You probably see this 1000s of times a day but any closer to a bms release date?" the fan asked.

"Very close. News coming out next week bro beans," Brooks replied.

It is unclear what the announcement may entail, but it is a significantly different answer from the kind that has usually been given when the question arises--with the cast often responding that they don't have news, or that the film was simply being held up by Lionsgate, which is distributing it.
