Season 3 will open three months after Maya's death, but Jasper Jordan will be no closer to moving on than he was on the day of the Mount Weather massacre.

"His best friends murdered his girlfriend and an entire civilization so that's screwing him up on a daily basis," Bostick told IGN.

While his time with the Mountain Men will be the main focus for his grief, the teen will be crumbling under the weight of everything that has happened during his first five months off the Ark.

"Everything that has happened since they landed on the ground is sort of bottled up inside of him and he hasn't really been able to release it in a healthy way," Bostick teased. "This season, for at least half of it, we're seeing him sort of bottle up all of these emotions and shove them down into a dark surface they shouldn't be shoved into."

It's not as if the Sky People aren't trying to help him. As the premiere begins however, he has swatted away their helping hands so many times some will begin to see him simply as a lost cause.

How long will it take Jasper to recover? Bostick indicated that you shouldn't look for his smile to return before midseason.
