Nickelodeon announced that the new voice of the networks' Latina heroine Dora, will be 11 year old actress Fátima Ptacek.

Ptacek has Ecuadorian and Norwegian background and will lend her voice for the coming season of Dora The Explorer.

Ptacek has appeared in more than 50 television commercials and covers of magazines. She previously had roles in movies such as "The Rebound" and the upcoming film "The Miracle of Spanish Harlem."

Andy Garcia will be the voice of Don Quixote and Jason Alexander will lend his voice to a greedy owl for the new series of Dora's Adventure, according to a press release from Nickelodeon.

The new Dora Adventures will focus on classic literature, geography, art science and Spanish.

"We are thrilled to welcome Fátima Ptacek into the Nickelodeon family as the new voice of the world's most beloved Latina heroine," said Teri Weiss, Senior vice President of Nickelodeon.
