The majority of Dark Matter's crew will be trapped behind bars when season 2 premieres, but their time in the galactic big house won't keep the numerical amnesiacs from digging into their pasts.

Episode 4 will dive down the rabbit hole, and viewers should prepare for the journey to deliver a dangerous insight into one of season 2's big names.

"Looks like we'll be finally leaving the relatively warmer environs of the studio for the chill of The Hammer [Canada's sobriquet for Hamilton] as location work begins next week," series creator Joseph Mallozzi teased on Thursday. "Space station, forest, and cabins offer insights into one character's dark dark past."

Will this flashback deliver info on One (Marc Bendavid) through Six (Roger R. Cross), or will one of the series' newbies jump into the spotlight? We already have a fairly solid handle on Two (Melissa O'Neil), Four (Anthony Lemke), and Five's (Jodelle Ferland)younger days, but One, Three (Alex Mallari Jr.), and Six remain a mystery. Just because One appeared to be an upright citizen before transitioning into Jace Corso, that doesn't necessarily mean his past is squeaky clean.
