Alley, who came in second place when she competed in season 12 of Dancing With the Stars, told Wetpaint Entertainment that Rhea Perlman (who played Carla on Cheers) would be a good competitor on the series.

"I think Rhea [Perlman] would be good on 'Dancing With the Stars', because Rhea is a really good dancer," Alley said. However, she quickly added, "I don't know if she'd do it."

Alley spoke about Dancing With the Stars being a big commitment for any star who decides to compete.

"You have to take a big leap of faith before you do 'Dancing With the Stars,'" she noted. "You know it's hard work, and you know you're putting yourself out there. Put it this way - I wouldn't want to do 'Dancing With the Stars' and be off the first week. You know?"

Alley would later return for season 15, a.k.a. Dancing With the Stars: All Stars. There, she came in seventh place.

The actress doesn't always watch Dancing With the Stars but she made sure to express her love of Bindi Irwin, the season 21 champion.

"I loved her!" Alley said. "I think I saw the first dance Bindi did, and then I think I saw maybe two more. I liked her personality."

It remains to be seen if Perlman or any of Alley's former co-stars will join Dancing With the Stars.

Dancing With the Stars returns for season 22 on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
