Lady Gaga's performance on FX's American Horror Story: Hotel was certainly polarizing, but do you think she should come back for season 6?

Gaga played The Countess in AHS: Hotel, a role that largely felt like an extension of herself. Obsessed with fashion, art and people, The Countess wasn't exactly a stretch for the "Bad Romance" singer.

While it would seem like an artist as busy as Gaga would only be able to do one season of the series, she has gone on record about how it changed her for the better.

What Does Lady Gaga's Fiancé Taylor Kinney Think Of Her 'American Horror Story' Gig?

"When I wasn't working on the show I was truly miserable because I had no safe house to get out any of my vices," she said in V Magazine recently. "Now I have a safe house for my vices so when I'm making music I just have a lot more clarity. I have a little less of an instinct to be reckless with my music now because I'm reckless in other places."

So it would seem like American Horror Story is a rewarding artistic experience for Gaga, not only for her music but for her own health.

However, Gaga did confirm at the Golden Globes earlier in the month that she planned on releasing a new album this year. So if the writing process and the promotional schedule consume too much of her time, it would seem unlikely that she would have a role in season 6 this fall.

Nothing has been confirmed regarding Gaga's return to the series thus far. Cast and concept information is expected to be announced in the months to come.
