Adrienne Maloof decided the leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and will not return for the show's next season, the reality television star announced Monday.

"To my loyal fans ... It was time to exit RHOBH," Maloof, 51, wrote on her website. "The show served as a wonderful platform for all the amazing projects that I have in the works. I am forever grateful to my fans, thank you for your support, and stay tuned!"

It was rumored earlier in the month that Maloof was fired from the show. A source told People magazine Maloof was "let go" and that "producers were sick of her constant tardiness and her issues." However, an insider close to star disputed the claims, saying, "It was her decision to leave. Adrienne is very happy."

News of her departure from the series follows the announcement that Camille Grammer will also not return for season four of the show.

Maloof and Grammer both did not attend the taping for the season three reunion special of Housewives. A source told TMZ Maloof did not show up because she knew her divorce from Paul Nassif would be topic of conversation among the women and host Andy Cohen, and because of their divorce agreement she cannot talk about it.

Sources close to the former couple said Maloof and Nassif signed a restraining order as part of their divorce that prohibits them from talking to others about each other, their children and divorce proceedings. It reportedly got "ugly" between Maloof and Bravo producers when she said she would not participate in the reunion because the network felt she had an obligation to appear, sources said.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills introduced two new cast members in season three: Yolanda H. Foster and Marisa Zanuck. On the official website for the Bravo show Faye Resnick is also listed as a cast member.
