WARNING: MAJOR Spoilers Ahead. Do Not Continue Reading If You Don't Want To Know

A big moment from the comic book source material is likely going to be revealed in the season 6B premiere for The Walking Dead.

Andrew Lincoln Calls New Episodes 'Total Mayhem'

Thanks to a Russian promo photo for the show's return, it appears something that happened to Carl (Chandler Riggs), is going to happen on the show-and affect how things go for him for the rest of the series.

In the comics, Carl loses his right eye and a portion of his face after he's accidentally shot by Douglas Monroe (the comic book equivalent of the late Deanna)--and the promo art shows Riggs with a bandage slung exactly over that spot, which seems to indicate that it will still go in some way-but not necessarily how it went down in the comics.

Lauren Cohan Dishes On Maggie & Glenn's Reunion

Fans who watched the season 6A finale, saw Deanna get bit, and as she was supposed to shoot herself and die so she'd be prevented from coming back, she instead tried to go out like a hero by using her bullets on the herd of walkers running towards her. Since Deanna won't be there to pull the trigger, someone else will be responsible for Carl's injury-which most likely will come during the premiere, following Sam's (Major Dodson) decision to call out for Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge), alerting the Walkers to the fact that the disguised group in the middle of them is actually humans.

Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Carl's father Rick on the series, hinted that something big that would fundamentally change Rick was going to happen in the premiere as well-which adds only more fuel to the rumors.

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
