Maci Bookout will welcome her third child around the same time her second child turns one-year-old.

Just days after the Teen Mom OG star became engaged to longtime boyfriend Taylor McKinney, the reality star visited her doctor, where she learned she was expecting her third child, a baby boy, in May.

"I was at the doctor, ironically, to get my birth control prescription refilled!" Bookout told Us Weekly on Wednesday.

When her doctor refused to refill her birth control, informing Bookout that she was with child, she could hardly believe it.

"I laughed at her!" Bookout recalled. "I mean, she's the doctor that delivered Jayde, so I was like, 'Ha ha, that's a funny joke — but it's not really that funny!' And she was like, 'No, seriously!' And I was like, 'Oh, OK — well, give me 10 minutes to not freak out ... You're wrong. You've got the wrong results, you mixed them up.' But no, she was serious!"

"Everyone is shocked," she explained of her family and friends' reactions. "I mean, even we were completely speechless, and every time I shared the news with someone, I said, 'OK, are you sitting down?' And then I said, 'Feel free to say 'holy s--t' or congratulations because both are fine.' Because that's pretty much how I've been the whole time!"
