The wait is nearly over, as fans are now just one week away from an all new episode of How I Met Your Mother on Monday, March 18.

If fans weren't satisfied with the amount of air time of the Captain (Kyle MacLachan), they'll be happy to know that the character will indeed be making a comeback. Carter reported that episode 20, which is titled The Fortress, will serve to drive Lily up a wall.

Meanwhile, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) will be pressured into doing something that he had no interest in doing before, which is putting his bachelor pad up for sale. The respective residence had played host to more romantic escapades than can be counted.

CBS released the full synopsis on the upcoming installment:

"As their wedding date approaches, Robin tells Barney that it's time they address the issue of where they will live as a married couple. She makes it clear that she will never live in his apartment - where all of his sexual escapades took place. Barney begrudgingly agrees, but insists that the apartment go to somebody worthy of its greatness. Meanwhile, Marshall takes drastic measures when he can no longer deal with Lily's constant absences due to her demanding job with the Captain."

Moving ahead, the TV site also reported that the back end of season eight will hone in on the wedding of the two lovebirds, as the series' bosses Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have reportedly given confirmation that Barney and Robin (Colbie Smulders) will tie the knot by the end of season eight.

The 21st episode, titled Bro Mitzvah, is said to revolve around Barney's bachelor party, which could also open up the strong possibility that the following installment, Romeward Bound, could revolve around a bachelorette party for Robin.

How I Met Your Mother will return with Time Travelers at 8 p.m. next Monday, March 18 on the CBS network. A video of the upcoming episode can be viewed below.
