Outlander season 2 will tear through its source material at breakneck speed.

'Outlander' Season 2: What's Diana Gabaldon Opinion Of That 'Racy' Entertainment Weekly Cover? Author Speaks Out

The Starz series dropped two new episode titles on Friday, according to Spoiler TV, and both will be easily recognizable to fans of Diana Gabaldon's books. Episode 3 is titled "Useful Occupations and Deceptions" and episode 4 is dubbed "La Dame Blanche."

"Useful Occupations and Deceptions" refers to chapters 11 and 13 of Dragonfly in Amber. The two chapter's bookend Claire's introduction to L'Hôpital des Anges, and there is a good chance Mother Hildegarde (Frances de la Tour) will make her debut during the hour.

"La Dame Blanche," meanwhile, is a power-packed name for fans. The title of chapter 20, La Dame Blanche refers to a folktale similar to that of a banshee, and it is a reputation Jamie helps Claire acquire to keep her safe in Paris. It sounds as if the fourth episode will involve a certain trip down a dark Parisian alley.

The series appears to be covering the events of Dragonfly in Amber in leaps and bounds, but viewers should bear in mind that the season will not follow the novel's timeline to the letter.

"There are changes and differences; the second novel is more complex," showruner Ron Moore told TV Goodness. "It has a lot more puzzle pieces, a lot more moving parts."
