The wait is still on for Secrets and Lies fans who are hoping for any word concerning the highly anticipated second season, but the show's creator is finally speaking up and has revealed some potentially positive news.

After a fan tweeted to her about missing the show and wishing it would come back soon, Barbie Kligman revealed that the new season is still scheduled to air, despite ABC still not releasing a potential premiere date or even a trailer for the show.

"I'm still hoping #SecretsandLies comes back soon, I miss Cornell," the fan tweeted to Kligman and series star Juliette Lewis.

"It's coming!" Kligman replied.

There are still no specific details about the show's return, though there are still continued hints from members of the show's crew on social media, with Behind-the-Scenes photographer Brooke Brunson continuing to share photos from the first season, as well as other shots from the set, with promises that the second season would premiere as well.

"#SecretsandLies Season 2: more Cornell and an all new squad are coming soon!," she wrote.

However, the second season's cast has not shared anything about the show on their own social media pages recently, meaning there has been very little information for fans to go on from other direct sources related to the series.

The first season premiered in March on last year, and the mystery, which saw Detective Cornell (Lewis) investigating the murder of Tom, a little boy proven to be chief suspect Ben Crawford's (Ryan Phillippe) son. At the end of the season, Ben's daughter, Abby (Belle Shouse) was revealed to be the real killer, though Ben went to prison for her and covered up her role in the murder. The Cornell Confidential scene which was made available on ABC.com after the finale aired revealed Ben died in prison not long after he was sent away, and Cornell tracked down Abby and Ben's ex-wife, Christie (Kadee Strickland) to potentially seek justice.

The new season however, will focus on an entirely different cast and a new murder, with Cornell as the only returning character. This time, she will be investigating the murder of Kate Warner (Jordana Brewster), and looking into her husband, Eric (Michael Ealy).
