No matter what Amal and George Clooney do or say these days, it looks like they simply can't win with their critics these days. In fact, the couple is getting slammed for charging over $354,000 for any couple who would like to have dinner with them to help benefit Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign.

According to Gawker on Friday, George and Amal plan on hosting a fundraiser for the Democratic nominee hopeful at the home of Shervin Pishevar in San Francisco. But if you want to chat to George about his latest movie or ask Amal about the color of her lipstick, the dinner and the night itself is going to cost you one pretty penny.

Apparently, if a couple only donates $100,000 they get into the reception but wont be able to actually speak to the Clooneys unless they fork over $354,000. Tickets to the event cost $33,400 per person and that only includes dinner and a photo with Hillary Clinton.

Many critics have left comments including, "Hillary Clinton is asking for $353,000 a couple to sit at a table with George Clooney at their funder. #EverydayAmericans" along with, "Whatever happened to one person, one vote? The amount of power you have should have no influence on your political power. This is nuts."

Although one person did write, "Why is this newsworthy?

"If I was worth in excess of $100 million and I wanted Bernie Sanders to win, I would also try and get my rich ass friends to donate."

So far George Clooney himself has not made any comments about the criticism. He hosted a similar fundraiser for President Obama back in 2012, where he charged $12,000 per person for dinner.
