Jenelle Evans' boyfriend was arrested earlier this week, but was the Teen Mom 2 star also taken into custody?

Following news of Eason's North Carolina arrest for a protective order violation, Evans' name reportedly appeared on the New Hanover Sheriff’s Office's daily arrest log, which suggested she was arrested for cyberstalking on Monday. However, after rumors began swirling in regard to her alleged arrest, Evans set the record straight.

"Moments after that news started to circulate on Twitter, Jenelle insisted that she was not arrested and was simply served with some papers," The Ashley's Reality Roundup reported on Monday.

According to a representative of the New Hanover Sheriff’s Department, who spoke with the outlet, Evans was not arrested, despite the content of their arrest log.

“It wasn’t actually arrest,” the representative told The Ashley. “She was served with a criminal summons. A criminal summons is a paper that states that someone is accusing you of a crime, and telling you to show up in court for a judge to decide if a crime has been committed.”

The representative explained that the court documents, which accused Evans of the crime of cyberstalking were filed by Nathan Griffith, Evan's ex-fiance and the father of her one-year-old son Kaiser.

“She didn’t actually go behind bars, there was no arrest,” the rep explained.

Evans will, however, be required to respond to the complaint by April 18.

During an interview with PEOPLE Magazine earlier this month, Evans addressed her ongoing issues with Griffith, claiming he still hadn't gotten over their relationship.

"I think he's really jealous of David," Evans said. "He's claiming I'm letting Kaiser called David 'Dada,' but Kaiser knows David by 'David' – I would never do that to Kaiser and I would never do that to Nathan because that's unfair."

"Every time we talk, he doesn't even really ask about Kaiser," Evans continued of Griffith. "He just asks how I'm doing and what I'm up to lately ... I don't think he is sure of his current relationship, or he hasn't let go [of me] yet."
