It looks like Gwen Stefani might have just made the worst joke of her life. The singer is getting a lot of backlash for apparently trying to fool her fans in believing that she was pregnant with Blake Shelton's first child by posting an ultrasound photo on her Instagram account on Friday.

Unfortunately, many of her fans scolded her by saying that it was an insensitive joke to make, considering the number of women who struggle with infertility on a daily basis.

She captioned her photo with, "It's a girl," but very few of her followers actually thought it was funny.

Some comments included, "Wait until you deal infertility. I pray that you don't! You won't find it as funny!" along with, "This is just awful. Thousands of women deal with infertility every day so for someone like Gwen to even joke about a pregnancy is totally insensitive and not cool at all. I thought you were better than this Gwen."

Yet one fan managed to defend the singer by saying, "People are to sensitive and can't take a joke!! Wow. People are what are killing thus world!!"

So far Gwen herself has not made any comments about the criticism, nor has she apologized for the joke, either.

Gwen and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale share three sons together, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. The singer has been dating Blake Shelton since late last year.
