Teen Wolf's Theo Raeken is back!

We all thought the villainous chimera received his just desserts in "Apotheosis," but it seems his time under the earth won't last quite as long as we thought.

Kira (Arden Cho) and the skin walkers arranged for Theo's (Cody Christian) sister to get her post-mortem revenge, and while Theo was sucked into the bowels of the earth, fans can rest assured that he, like most Teen Wolf baddies, is still alive and kicking.

"I wouldn't close the door on him just yet," series creator Jeff Davis told TV Guide. "We love Cody Christian both as an actor and a professional. It's hard to say goodbye to him so you'll have to wait and see."

When you're anticipating the return of a Teen Wolf character, the wait can go on for years. For fans of Theo and his complete lack of morals, the wait will be shorter than anyone could have expected. Christian appeared at Oz Comic Con over the weekend, and he had welcome news for viewers.

Whoops. Looks like Nazi werewolves won't be the only hold over from the Dread Doctor storyline. Perhaps Theo's return will be related to season 6's foray into the paranormal.

"Season 6 will bring in a new mythology and a very different problem. We're big fans of genre in the writer's room. With Season 5b we said, 'This is going to be a monster movie,'" Davis told TV Guide. "With Season 6 we have a very clear idea that it's going to be a ghost story."
