During the season four premiere of NBC's The Voice, coaches Shakira, Adam Levine, Usher and Blake Shelton opened the show playing a cover of Come Together by The Beatles. Despite the unifying message, the four celebrity coaches didn't waste any time playing their strengths to win over contestants in the blind auditions on March 25.

The first time coaches, Shakira and Usher, faired relatively well on the first night. Shakira, as Blake Shelton and Usher put it, played the so-called "female card" in order to try swaying the women contestants.

She also had a passionate side to her and told contestants that she would put her heart and soul into the future singers' futures.

Usher didn't hesitate to remind contestants, like 16-year-old Danielle, that he was the person who discovered Justin Bieber and therefore knows how to make a star. "I build winners," he said during the show.

However, Shelton reminded the contestants that he is the reigning champ in order to rack up the country singers. He also racked up twins.

The first contestants, the blonde bombshell Morgan twins, originally said before their blind audition that they wanted to work with Usher because of their love for R&B music. But when all judges turned their chairs around, the twins went with Shelton.

Levine poked fun at Shelton, saying "Miranda is going to kill you," referring to Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert.

Levine ended up only getting one singer on his team on the first night but he got Judith Hill, a singer who everyone wanted and who earned a standing ovation from the coaches. Hill rehearsed with Michael Jackson for his This Is It tour until he passed away. She sang at his memorial and was said by the coaches that she could definitely win.

See the coaches continue their battles for the best singers during another night of blind auditions on March 26.
