Reality TV titan American Idol is officially coming to an end Thursday night; here's how and when to watch it live.

It's Thursday, April 7, which means it's time to close the book on American Idol. The show has been a hit for 15 seasons and was at one time the most popular show on television for eight consecutive years.

Dozens upon dozens of Idol alums from all previous seasons are returning to perform, including all 14 winners: Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery, Candice Glover, Caleb Johnson and Nick Fradiani.

Many finalists are also set to return, including runners-up Justin Guarini, Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo, Bo Bice, Katharine McPhee, Blake Lewis, David Archuleta, Lauren Alaina, Jessica Sanchez, Kree Harrison and Clark Beckham.

Numerous standout finalists are slated to return as well, including Ace Young, Allison Iraheta, Amber Holcomb, Brandon Rogers, Bucky Covington, Carly Smithson, Casey James, Chris Daughtry, Colton Dixon, Constantine Maroulis, Danny Gokey, Elliott Yamin, George Huff, James Durbin, Josh Gracin, Joshua Ledet, Kellie Pickler, Kimberley Locke, LaToya London, Melinda Doolittle, Pia Toscano, Sanjaya, Skylar Laine, Tamyra Gray and more.

After all of this, however, is the business of crowning the final American Idol. It's down to Mississippi natives La'Porsha Renae and Trent Harmon, with the winner being revealed in the final minutes of the show.

The American Idol finale starts at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will be on until 10:06 p.m. ET/PT. But if you're DVR-ing the finale, make sure to extend your recording a few minutes later just in case the show goes longer than anticipated.

Watch The American Idol Series Finale Live On Fox

Unfortunately, Fox does not have an official live streaming service so the only option to watch it live is on a television. However, the finale will be online in full Friday morning on FOX NOW and Hulu.

There will be live red carpet coverage on the American Idol Facebook page before the show, which you can find here.
