Last time we saw Rory Gilmore, she had a Yale degree and a desire to become the next Christiane Amanpour. Nine years later, the Gilmore Girls journalist will be...back at Chilton?

Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) left our TV screens nearly a decade ago, and when the loquacious mother/daughter duo returns to Stars Hollow in Netflix's Gilmore Girls: Seasons, fans will get to find out what they've been up to in the interim.

"Though we wouldn't dare spoil top-secret plot points, we did get intel on Rory and her career...," Entertainment Weekly teased on Wednesday, showcasing a photo of Rory in front of a class of smartly dressed Chilton students.

Does this mean Rory will return to her old stomping grounds as the next Mr. Medina? While we think the writer would make an excellent English teacher, we also hope she had the chance to follow her life-long dream of becoming a foreign correspondent. Perhaps she's visiting her alma mater to give a guest lecture?

Lorelai, meanwhile, will still be captaining the good ship Firefly. Although Sookie will only pop up momentarily, a photo from Yanic Trusdale revealed Michell and Lorelai hard at work at the little B&B.

According to Graham, fans will definitely enjoy the four 90-minute episodes series creator Amy Sherman Palladino has brewing.

"[I'm] just so excited to do this material," Graham told TV Line. "Amy sent me the scripts and I gobbled them right up. It's all the positive aspects of running into someone you used to go out with none of the downside. [Laughs] It's like, "Hey, old friend! I'm happy to see you."

Find out more when Gilmore Girls: Seasons debuts later this year.
