In a special farewell panel at New York City's Tribeca Film Festival the cast members of The Good Wife spoke about saying their final goodbyes to the show.

During the panel, Matt Czuchry, who plays Cary, was also asked about the much rumored about spinoffs based on Cary that might be in the works. Entertainment Weekly reported from the event where Czuchry commented on such a possibility.

"It's such a tough question to ask right now because we just finished on Monday," he said. "On a personal level, we're all trying to gain closure on something that we experienced for seven years. With that, we've just put in so many hours and so much dedication into the material and there's been a lot of sacrifice that goes into that. So right now, my brain is trying to wrap itself around, 'Okay, what kind of closure do I need personally to get to that next place professionally?' And it's not a way to avoid the answer. It's just an honest answer in saying that it takes a lot for us to invest in these characters and invest in this time. It's going to take an equal amount to decompress and cleanse from that experience."

In other rumors doing the rounds about the show, Josh Charles, who played Will Gardner of the legal drama, might be returning for the finale of The Good Wife.

According to a TVLine report Charles might be back for his final final goodbye on The Good Wife. The report reveals that Will might return in a flashback scene, that he shares with Alicia (Julianna Margulies). Will died in Season 5 of the show, leaving an utterly devastated Alicia, whose one true great love he was. Even though Alicia has a new man, Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), in her life now, she obviously holds a very special place for Will.

CBS declined to confirm the rumors about Charles returning for the finale.

The finale of Season 7 will air on May 8.
