January Jones loves being a single mother and according to the actress herself, she wouldn't have it any other way. In fact, the former Mad Men star says that she's had quite the positive experience as a single mom to her 3-year-old son Xander, adding that she hasn't experienced the social stigma that usually comes with the role.

In a new interview with Britain's You Magazine, the blonde beauty says she's not worried about the negative criticism that's out there when it comes to others judging women for raising their children on their own. Although Jones is comfortable talking about her son in her interviews, she has yet to reveal who Xander's biological father is.

She said, "The thing about being a single mother is that I've never done it any other way. We women beat ourselves up a lot, but I don't listen to any of that. We should be supportive, not judgmental. Luckily, the friends I surround myself with are strong, so I've never had to deal with being criticized or having someone feel sorry for me. I've never experienced any negative stigma. I think I'd laugh it off anyway."

Jones also says that even though motherhood has its ups and downs, she's so far managed to balance her work with her family life.

She added, "Being a mother is hard, no matter what your family dynamic is. But I think it's really healthy for a child to see mothers working, and also for women to have something personally and mentally to focus on other than a child. My mum was - and still is - a working mother, and I respect her so much for that."
