It's taken him some time, but it looks like Jon Hamm is finally getting the recognition that he deserves. The Hollywood star has won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Don Draper in the critically-acclaimed Mad Men.

His character Don Draper ended its run by supposedly coming up with the idea for the iconic 1971 Coke commercial while meditating off the coast of California.

"Thank you so much to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for supporting our show for as long as you did - all the way to the end," he said.

The AMC drama also starred actresses Christina Hendricks, January Jones and Elisabeth Moss.
