Even though Tom Cruise is one of the most PR-friendly celebrities in the entertainment world, it's been years since anyone last saw him with his family. In fact, there's a new report that says the Hollywood actor hasn't spoken to or tried to contact his 10-year-old daughter Suri Cruise, who is currently living in New York City with her mother, actor Katie Holmes.

In fact, sources say that Tom didn't make any effort to contact little Suri on her 10th birthday last week, as he was filming his latest project in England. To make matters worse, this is the second birthday he's missed in a row.

According to Naughty Gossip, one source exclusively told the site, "Katie's friends do not find it surprising anymore, they have come to expect this from Tom. They are all actually relieved that he isn't around. Suri has a great mom and a very stable loving home. She doesn't need her dad coming along on birthday's and upsetting her."

The insider added, "At this point Suri is like a single parent child. She has a great mom and she doesn't need anyone else. It is easy to think this is sad, but really it is for the best."

Tom for his part hasn't made any comments about the report nor has he indicated whether or not he still has a relationship with young Suri.

Katie Holmes pulled the plug on their marriage back in 2011 and as far as media reports are concerned, she has full custody of the ex-couple's only child.
