Does Jessa Duggar want to go her own way with her family and not raise her kids like her parents did? That might be the case as the reality television star herself has said that she'll do "some things a little differently" than her mother Michelle Duggar when it comes to raising her 5-month-old son, Spurgeon.

According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, Jessa, who is married to husband Ben Seewald, says that her son's upbringing won't be exactly like what she had in the Duggar household. But does that mean she was unhappy in her own childhood or at least with the way she was raised by her mother Michelle and father Jim Bob?

Jessa told the publication, "Spurgeon is still pretty young, but I'm sure that as he continues to grow, I will find that I tend to do some things differently than my mom did. That's the beauty of the individual family. No one is identical."

She added, "There will be variations with little things here and there, but I know that our foundational goals remain the same--to raise our kids to love God and be a blessing to others."

Yet it looks like it might be Michelle herself that is encouraging her daughter to explore other avenues when it comes to her parenting style.

The reality star explained, "Every time I come to my mom for advice, she always reminds me that I've got this. There's no pressure to do things just exactly how she did them, but I'm so grateful for all her advice and help. Even when I feel overwhelmed, she's always there to encourage me and tell me, 'You're doing a great job!' That gives me the courage to trust my instincts and do what I feel is best for my baby."
