Kate Middleton issued a letter to a 10-year-old fan who didn't get to see her when she went to the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England on March 5.

Isabella Clarkson, from Grimsby, missed Middleton's appearance because of the weather and wrote a letter that was mailed to Middleton's office, according to People. Clarskon was with her siblings - Alice, 8, and Reuben, 4, - and she only saw a glimpse of Middleton's hand. The helicopter Middleton arrived in was an hour and a half late because of heavy fog.

According to the magazine, Clarkson said, "I'd spent ages making a glittery banner to hold the night before, but I don't think she saw it. I wrote a letter to her afterwards saying how disappointed we all were not to get to meet her - and then we got a reply."

Her mother Jackie Clarkson said, "I knew she would get a reply and that it would cheer her up. It's a lovely thing for her to keep and look back on in the future, especially as Kate will be Queen one day."

Middleton included a photo of herself and Clarskson plans on framing the letter. Read the letter here, courtesy of The Grimsby Telegraph
