Director Baz Luhrmann took a modern take for his 1996 film William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. And based on the soundtrack for his latest feature film The Great Gatsby, there is definitely anticipation for a modern twist.

According to MTV, Interscope Records and Warner Bros. Pictures released the track list on Thursday and the soundtrack will officially be released on May 7.

The 14-track list is well represented by hip hop with Beyonce, Jay-Z and Andre as well as with alternative genres with Florence and The Machine, Lana Del Rey and Jack White.

In the new trailer, also released on Thursday, the first song heard is the new track by Beyonce and Andre 3000, which is a remake of Back To Black by the late Amy Winehouse.

Next is Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful, with his signature haunting sound and the trailer ends with Over The Love by Florence and the Machine.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays Gatsby and the film also stars Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. Maguire narrates the film, which will be released on May 10.
