Finale season 2k16 will be full of tears, and Outlander fans won't escape the onslaught.

The Starz series has yet to reach midseason, but, despite its summertime finale, the historical fiction/sci-fi/romance hybrid will join in this year's finale trend of making us wish we'd brought stock in Kleenex.

Titled "Dragonfly in Amber," the finale will throw Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) into the very battle they've been working to prevent. Penned by Matthew B. Roberts and Toni Graphia, episode 13 will have you double fisting alcohol and tissues. In other words, you probably shouldn't watch it alone.

In the meantime, fans should brace themselves for an emotional episode 6. Also penned by Roberts (we're sensing a trend here), "Best Laid Schemes..." will follow hard on the heels of the Black Jack (Tobias Menzies) reveal. Needless to say, Claire and Jamie aren't quite seeing eye to eye.

"Paris and their mission there is already kind of poisoning them and corrupting them. Their marriage is under a lot of stress. He asks her at one point, 'When do I get to feel good?' Black Jack's reentry in their lives could be the figurative straw," showrunner Ron Moore told Yahoo! TV. "She will ask a very huge thing of him, basically for him to not act like himself and to not get his revenge. The bigger question will be if he will be able to honor her request."
