With Paul's (Richard Burgi) help he managed to escape police custody and has left a lot of new destruction in his wake as a result, but Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) could still be running out of time when it comes to keeping his freedom on General Hospital.

After Sonny's (Maurice Benard) threat when the witness to Duke's murder conveniently died of an overdose, Carlos became concerned for his safety and asked to be transferred to a new prison. Paul gave him a paperclip and a pen to use to wiggle out of his handcuffs during the transport, and his getting free led to a horrifying accident where the transport van collided with Jason's (Billy Miller) motorcycle. And though Jason is fine and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is recovering following Carlos stabbing him with the pen, Nathan's (Ryan Paevey) fate is still in question after Carlos fractured his skull in with a rock, and the driver of the van is dead.

In addition, Anna (Finola Hughes) found Carlos at the pier as he continued trying to escape, and after a struggle, he overcame her and knocked her unconscious. She is now locked in a freezer, and if she isn't found she too will die.

Now, the hunt for Carlos is on, and he's starting to panic after he hears cops closing in on his location at the pier.

"Check every entrance and all the alleyways," a cop is heard saying in a preview clip for the Wednesday, May 11 episode, as Carlos ducks to try and stay out of view.

Meanwhile, his enemies who aren't currently in danger will all be worried that his escape could be the last time they will all see him, meaning they won't only not be able to get justice for Duke's murder, but it could mean Michael (Chad Duell) will never get answers about Sabrina's (Teresa Castillo) whereabouts.

"What if Carlos is gone for good this time?" He worriedly asks Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright) in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
