Nine realms are simply not enough to contain the events of Thor: Ragnarok.

The God of Thunder beat feet back to Asgard at the end of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the Norseman's unsettling visions have fans wondering what fresh danger he'll face in the 2017 film.

As the end of days approaches, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will take to the cosmos.

"There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this movie," Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige told Empire: Film while explaining Jane Foster's Ragnarok absence. "80 to 90 percent takes place in the cosmos."

The adventure will reunite Thor with Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, a fitting combination considering both heroes missed out on Captain America: Civil War. Bruce Banner went AWOL following the events of Age of Ultron, and his role in Odinson's next outing smacks of Planet Hulk.

Marvel's infamous cone of silence has kept Ruffalo from revealing too much about Hulk's return, but he did drop an intriguing teaser while speaking with Empire over the winter.

"There's a little bit of Midnight Run, with [Charles] Grodin and [Robert] De Niro. I feel like that's kind of where we're heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner," Ruffalo explained, also noting Ragnarok's adherence to Marvel's comedic bent. "It is a universal road movie - that's where we're heading. It's not where you'd think it will be, so it's not your classic road movie but it has that structure, I think."
