Music icon and former Beatle Paul McCartney left his mark on Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, when he finally received his star.

"Way back in history, in Liverpool when we were kids and we were listening to Buddy Holly and all the rock and roll greats, I would have never thought the day would come when I'd be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," McCartney said at the ceremony.

He thanked the 'three boys' in his life, fellow Beatles John, George, and Ringo.

McCartney's star, the 2,460th awarded, was approved in 1993 and he was the last Beatle to receive one.

The official Hollywood Star is just one of the big events in McCartney's life right now. His 'Kisses on the Bottom' album will be released this week, and he will give a much-anticipated performance at this years Grammy awards.
