A winner was crowned on Survivor: Kaoh Rong Wednesday night, but the final reveal was divisive to say the least.

The final episode of Survivor: Kaoh Rong aired Wednesday, with finalists Aubry Bracco, Michele Fitzgerald and Tai Trang facing the jury to plead their case as to why they deserved to win. While Aubry and Tai were arguably more dynamic and popular players among the fanbase, it was Michele who emerged victorious with five of the seven jury votes to win.

The end result, with Michele nabbing five votes, Aubry earning two and Tai receiving none, was a polarizing one among fans on Twitter. Many fans and former players alike congratulated Michele on her win, but others were clearly not satisfied with the end result, as you can see here:

Survivor host Jeff Probst weighed in on the jury's decision as well, telling Entertainment Weekly that he doesn't want to "contradict" them by saying she didn't deserve to win. He made note of the fact that Michele "kicked the afterburners on at the right time," alluding to her more under-the-radar game for the first half of the season, which transitioned into more dynamic gameplay in the second half.

"When Michele started the game she was seen as a beautiful woman... and nothing else. She had a lot to prove," Probst noted. "So when she started to play the game, even voting out her best friend, (delving into the dark side) the tribe and the audience saw her as exceeding expectations so she was rewarded. Both were playing the game. But the perception was altered by the first impression made. It cost Tai. It helped Michele. And as for Aubry, she was in the middle. Neal [Gottlieb] votes for Aubry and we have a 5-3 vote. Very close."

Survivor's 33rd season airs this fall on CBS.
