Antonio Brown is admittedly unhappy that he wasn't able to get his Dancing With the Stars partner the Mirrorball trophy.

Brown and his pro partner Sharna Burgess were eliminated Monday night on Dancing With the Stars, coming up one week short of the finals. The NFL star spoke about his exit with E! News shortly after he was eliminated from the competition.

"I'm totally grateful. I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Sharna. She's a really passionate individual. It's been a great journey for me," Brown said. "I'm really grateful for the opportunity, the people who took care of me on the show...It's been an experience filled with a lot of joy, a lot of hard work and a lot of memories."

He also talked about not feeling good about being eliminated because it meant Burgess would be eliminated too.

"I just feel bad for this beautiful girl right here because she's a winner and I wanted her to get a trophy," he said.

Burgess has been a pro with Dancing With the Stars since season 16 (the show is currently in its 22nd season) but she has yet to win the Mirrorball trophy. However, a victory seems to be coming considering her track record lately.

In season 20 she came in third place with Noah Galloway, while last season, she and Nick Carter came in second. With Burgess and Brown making it to one week before the finals, it seems inevitable, based on her hot streak, that Burgess will get her trophy sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, Dancing With the Stars continues onward. Only three couples remain to fight for the Mirrorball trophy: Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas and Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy. The winner will be crowned Tuesday night.

The Dancing With the Stars performance finale airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, while the grand finale airs the following night at 9 p.m.
