Chris Brown and Rihanna have split up again for the umpteenth time since they rekindled their romance last fall.

Brown, 23, first sparked rumores of a spli last week during his interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 on March 29.

"Are you still with Rihanna?" a Power 106 host asked. "Uh, no. That's the short answer," Brown replied.

Brown later told Matter Lauer during his April 1 interview on TODAY that his quote with the hip-hop radio station was "taken out of context" and that the show's host "got it wrong." He said the clip the radio show aired that day was from an old interview he did several months before. Brown then told Lauer that he and the Bajan beauty are "good."

On Monday, however, E! News published a report that a source close to the couple aid the couple split because Rihanna is "reshifting" her focus to her career.

On Tuesday, Hollywood Life published a report that a source close to the couple revealed Brown and Rihanna had a heated argument because he "flaked" on her in Vancouver last week. Their quarrel was so intense that Brown reportedly hung up the phone on her, said the source.

"Chris was supposed to be with Rihanna and spend a night, but at the last minute, he flaked and told her some bulls*** a** excuse and she was over it," an insider told Hollywood Life. The visit was supposed to take place on April 1 while Brown was in New York, the same day as his TODAY interview.

"She feels like he's not serious enough at times and it frustrates the f*** out of her. She blew up at him over the phone. They went back and forth and I guess he didn't want to hear what she had to say, so he hung up."

Brown is reportedly frustrated that the Pour It Up singer is always trying to tell him what to do, added the insider, but she is just trying to help them find ways to improve their relationship.

"She tries to talk to him on a serious level, but he doesn't hear her," the source also said. "Chris thinks Rihanna tries to tell him what to do, but she isn't. It's just love on her part and sometimes he doesn't see it that way."

The source revealed that the couple are going through a temporary rough patch and are still together, stating that Rihanna "just wants him to be more mature...They're together. They'll be alright. They're cool."

The coupe have since shifted their attention to other members of the opposite during their temporary split.

Brown was spotted giving an expensive bottle of champagne to a mystery blonde woman at Los Angeles hot spot Playhouse on April 6. The mystery blonde was later identified as Keisha Kimball, a 22-year old waitress. She had to defend reports that she was dating Brown.

"I am always Chris' waitress," Kimball later told TMZ. "I know him and am friends with his friends. Nothing has ever happened. I just work there. In the photos, he was handing me a bottle to drink out of. Of course people are going to twist it another way. I don't go for black guys. Whatever is going on between Rihanna and Chris Brown is between them. I'm not a home wrecker."

On Monday, Rihanna sparked rumors that she has a new boyfriend when she was spotted with an older man while sitting courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers basketball game. The mystery man turned out to be Jay Brown, an executive with her mentor Jay-Z's record label, Roc Nation, whom she has a business relationship with.
