Things are officially happening for this summer's highly anticipated Big Brother 18.

The Big Brother 18 cast is coming closer and closer to release. Casting director Robyn Kass tweeted on Friday that they have contacted all potential players who could be entering the Big Brother house this year.

With the casting process now in its final stages, buzz for Big Brother 18 is steadily increasing. The official cast is set to be revealed on June 13, just nine days before the season premiere on CBS. That same day, Big Brother live feeds are expected to be streaming live interviews with the players entering the house.

As for what types of players fans should expect for Big Brother 18, Kass previously said that she is looking for "different" types of people.

"I think it gets harder and harder every year because we're trying to find different types, different personalities, different energies, different looks, representing different places of the country," she said. "Now, season 18, I just want totally different things, so sometimes it's more difficult. That being said, sure. If somebody amazing is in front of me - it doesn't happen all that often, but yeah, sometimes they just have that 'It Factor' and you're like, 'I want more.'"

It remains to be seen what the new cast will look like. There has been plenty of speculation that there will be returning players this season, either in a full "all stars" situation or a mix of returnees and new players. The series has not featured returning players since season 14, where Dan Gheesling, Britney Godwin (née Haynes) Mike "Boogie" Malin, Janelle Pierzina coached new houseguests before entering the game themselves.

Big Brother 18 premieres Wednesday, June 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Like past seasons, this season will be airing three nights a week through the summer: Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
