Prince reportedly had a gig coming up that he's now going to have to miss.

After the legendary singer died last month, there has been speculation on what happened and what could've been. Based on Monday's report from The Sun, he was considered to perform at the Glastonbury Festival this year even though he wasn't performing as much anymore.

The site pointed out that this could've been Prince's farewell showdown and his reps were planning to meet with festival boss Michael Eavis to work out a deal.

"I was going to meet his agent," Eavis said. "It was all planned, but it didn't happen. His death was so sad. That's a real star that we never had."

Apparently, Prince was also supposed to be at the festival a couple years ago, but didn't go since the rumors already came about.

"We wanted him and it got to the point where his people were talking to us about him doing it," Eavis said. "But before he confirmed he got upset as he thought we had advertised that he was playing. We hadn't, but with social media, rumors got everywhere, and one was that Prince was coming. So he didn't want to do it in the end."

Ever since the "Purple Rain" singer died, a number of celebrities have been coming forward on how it's affected them. Lead singer of The Verve Richard Ashcroft explain how the death shows how special music truly is.

"When you lose great artists like that, it gives someone like me- and it should give us all- more of a sense of urgency because that guy can't go in his studio today and put down another great tune or an idea, whereas I can," Ashcroft said via TV3. "It really wakes you up to as what the gift of music is."
