Tamar Braxton has spoken out for the first time since she was let go from The Real and she has already moved on from the daytime talk show.

She stopped by The Steve Harvey Morning Show Thursday and announced that Harvey has given her her very own television show with his television production company.

As for her parting with The Real, Braxton was pretty adamant that she had no idea she was getting let go. She said there was nothing that led up to the incident that she can pinpoint as the reason why they would not sign her on to season three. Interestingly enough, her husband Vincent Herbert is said to have known weeks before Braxton was told the news. That’s not too surprising considering he had a producing role on the popular daytime talk show. Still, even the way Herbert found out was pretty shocking. Apparently he was calling the show to get more details about the co-hosts’ appearance at the Essence Music Festival next month.

Herbert was then told, “Oh we’ve been meaning to call you we are not having her back here anymore.” But fans aren’t completely convinced that Braxton had no idea they were planning to fire her. They took to Twitter during her interview to share their thoughts. “I LOVE her but I feel like she not telling the truth.”


“Why is Tamar on the Steve Harvey morning show lying so much smh! So they gave you no reason. Tisk tisk tisk.”
