So one of Meek Mill’s latest raps might have shed light on why Nicki Minaj and Rihanna seem to have been distant from one another for the past couple of years.

Meek covered French Montana, Remy Ma & Fat Joe’s hit song All The Way Up and while he was dissing Drake in his verse, Rihanna is the one who is getting lots of attention.

He raps amid rumors that Drake and Rihanna are dating, “And that chick standin right beside you, I done popped that, made me beat a fan up, I’m feelin like I’m Artest…”

Interestingly enough, Meek and Nicki have been dating one another for more than a year now. But Nicki and Rihanna’s alleged feud goes back to 2012. At least that’s when it went public.

Fans might remember at that year’s MTV Video Music Awards Rihanna attempted to hug Nicki after she won the coveted Best Female Video award for Starships. Nicki is said to have told Rihanna to “Sit the f*** down.”

But the ladies have collaborated on hits together from Rihanna’s It’s Raining Men to Nicki Minaj’s inspirational hit song Fly.

Nicki shut down rumors that she snapped at Rihanna during an episode of her E! show My Truth.

“Can I just say this? I’m sick of you printing lies,” she said. “I want to know if you guys believe what you put on there? So you believe that I told Rihanna to ‘sit yo a** down.’ No, I never told Rihanna to sit her a** down.”

Still, it’s not clear why the ladies haven’t been spotted together in years.
