The drama will continue in lots of ways on The Affair Season 3.

In the finale of the second season, it was revealed who actually killed Scotty; technically, it falls upon Helen since she was the one driving the car that ran into him. But considering that Alison pushed him in the road, she became part of his death.

But Noah was the one who took the fall. He also holds responsibility since he helped cover the death up.

So how is this going to affect everyone when the third season premieres?

On Monday, Gold Derby posted details from Maura Tierney who plays Helen. She doesn't know too many specifics on what's about to go down, but it's safe to say that no one is getting off totally free following the accident.

"Nobody's in the clear in season three," Tierney said. "Every season it's about the consequences of the choices made in the previous season, so it's going to be tricky for everyone in season three."

The actress added what she's discovered about her character especially since she had her own viewpoint in the second season.

"She comes to terms with how not perfect she is," Tierney said. "In Noah's point of view she was kind of this perfect martyr, but then you find out she's a lot more culpable in what made her marriage vulnerable, and watching her learn that was fun to play."

Earlier this year, Tierney won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a series. She actually wasn't expecting to win, but was still happy she did.

"I was extremely nervous, and really surprised because I've been working in television for a long time, so it felt like a really nice surprise," she said. "I was happy for myself and I was happy that it gave the show some further recognition."

The Affair Season 3 premieres on Sunday, November 20 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.
