Matt Bomer has confirmed his return to American Horror Story for the upcoming sixth season.

Bomer is slated to return for his third consecutive season of American Horror Story this fall when season 6 premieres. The actor revealed this news in a new interview with Magic Radio (seen below), adding that he still doesn't know the concept.

"I don't know anything [about season 6], electively so. It's coming back, and I know that I will be a part of it at some point, which is great and I'm incredibly excited about, but sort of electively and also non-electively, I don't really know what the concept is," Bomer said. "If I told you what the initial concept was before eventually [season 5] became Hotel, your jaw would drop. It's about as big of a '180' as you can get. . . . So I don't want to be teased by one premise, only to find that it's actually something substantially different."

Bomer first appeared on American Horror Story for one episode of Freak Show, playing a prostitute named Andy who ends up being killed by serial killer Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock). He would then have a series regular role as Donovan in Hotel, one of The Countess' (Lady Gaga) lovers.

Very little has been revealed about the upcoming sixth season of American Horror Story, a curious change of pace from past seasons, where the concept is often revealed in March or April and the cast is gradually lined up in subsequent months. This time around, a few actors like Bomer, Gaga and Angela Bassett have confirmed their returns, but showrunner Ryan Murphy has kept very quiet on making official statements.

However, that may change on Friday, June 13, when Murphy, Gaga, Bomer, Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and more gather for a Television Academy panel event. AHS cinematographer Michael Goi alluded to the fact that this event may feature an announcement of some sort, leading fans to believe that it's going to be the season 6 theme revelation.

American Horror Story season 6 premieres this fall on FX.
