Tinker Bell (Rose McIver) was featured frequently in season 3 of ABC's Once Upon a Time, but will she ever return?

Tinker Bell was last seen in the season 3 episode titled "A Curious Thing," though she has been referenced in other episodes since. With season 6 set to premiere this fall, should we expected a Tink comeback?

McIver, who is currently starring in The CW's iZombie, spoke with Couture Caddy recently about a variety of topics, including whether a Once return was in her future.

"Yeah, we have tried a few times to bring her back but scheduling's quite hard because they shoot at the same time as iZombie," she said, when asked about a Tinker Bell comeback. "But we are all in Vancouver and our showrunner is a good friend of the showrunners on Once Upon a Time. So we're very hopeful that it'll happen at some stage."

McIver's comments suggest that an official deal to return probably hasn't happened, though it's also possible that she is being secretive.

The actress was also asked about her "OTP" on Once Upon a Time, a colloquial acronym for "one true pairing," a.k.a. favorite couple.

"I think it would be Hook and Emma," she answered. "Hook and Emma I feel like selfishly I really like them both as people so I'm like, 'You guys work together, I know you guys get along so great. Can't everybody just make it work?'"

Meanwhile, Once Upon a Time show runners Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently revealed a big change they are making in the upcoming season's format. While past seasons have had "half-season" arcs, the upcoming sixth season will be more cohesive as a unit.

"This season is going to be different from past because it's not going to be Hyde [Sam Witwer] comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale, he dies and we move on," Kitsis said at a recent panel. "We are changing around what we're doing this year and going back to that season 1 mentality of small town stories and smaller arcs."

"We're also planning a 22-episode story as opposed to breaking it up into two halves this year. It's been really exciting and fun," Horowitz teased.

Once Upon a Time season 6 will premiere this fall in the Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot on ABC.
