Either Kate Middleton is feeling really lucky these days or really lonely. Whatever the case may be, there's a new report that says the Duchess has formed a very close relationship with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. The pair are so close that Prince William's little brother is supposedly Kate's closest friend as she doesn't have too many female friends to count on these days.

According to The Daily Mail on Friday, even though Prince Harry has plenty of female friends, the Duchess' inner circle has gotten smaller and smaller ever since she married Prince William back in 2011 and gave birth to the couple's two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And that's why the two have confided in one another in what many are calling a "genuine friendship."

One source told the publication, "Harry has plenty of female friends - including cousins Zara, Beatrice and Eugenie - but he is probably closer to Kate than any other woman on the planet," the Mail claims. A source insists that Harry and Kate are not flirting though: "That's not it, although he does have a knack of making women, including Kate, feel good about themselves, commenting on what they are wearing, for example. But as Harry once said, Kate is like the big sister he never had."

The insider added, "Theirs is a genuine friendship, founded on nights spent in front of Game Of Thrones boxsets and companionable suppers. From giving him cookery lessons to offering sensible romantic advice, Kate has become Harry's lynchpin."

So far neither the Duchess nor Prince Harry have made any comments about their close friendship.
