CNN reported Wednesday that a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings had been arrested, but the FBI has denied that report.

CNN cited a Boston law enforcement source as saying "We got him," but the network caused confussion after saying the source didn't explain if that mean that the suspect had been identified or arrested.

But CNN wasn't the only network to report on an arrest been made. FoxNews.com and the Associated Press also reported that a suspect had been arrested in the bombings.

"Contrary to widespread reporting, no arrest has been made in connection with the Boston Marathon attack. Over the past day and a half, there have been a number of press reports based on information from unofficial sources that has been inaccurate," the FBI source said.

Meanwhile, there have been developments into the investigation to find the author or authors of the bombing. Fox News is reporting Wednesday evening that  a law enforcement source said the FBI is looking for two men that are persons of interest in the bombing, one of them who was carrying a backpack that appears to match the bag believed to have been used in the bombings, and the second man also seemed to be carrying a suspicious bag.

A Fox News reporter allegedly saw the pictures of the two men and described them as "clear."

Two bombs exploded around 3 p.m. on Monday at the Boston Marathon during Patriots' Day near the finish line. 3 people were killed and around 180 injured seriously.

Officials found remnants from the two bombs including parts of one or two pressure cookers that had been packed with nails, ball bearings and black powder. The pressure cookers were reportedly hidden in backpacks and left amid the crowd.
