The future of Legends of Tomorrow's Hourman is a mystery, which is saying something considering he's about to team up with a Time Master.

Patrick J. Adams pulled back his hood to reveal Hourman/Rex Tyler in the season 1 finale, handily setting the stage for the Justice Society of America. The hero came bearing an urgent message from the future, but DC head honchos have yet to reveal how he'll weave into Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) season 2 adventures.

"I have no idea what's coming up. I haven't seen anything," Adams told TV Line ahead of Suits season 6 premiere. "I just know that I'm there to introduce the concept of the Justice Society of America and bring that into the show."

The hiatus has provided fans with little news regarding the JSA storyline. The Legends will be spending quite a bit of time in the 1940s, and it's a safe bet that Hourman won't be a one and done appearance. After all, he's the team's sole connection to another equally prodigious superhero squad.

"Basically Rex represents the Justice Society of America. Patrick's lovely and having him be a part of the show is just a total dream come true," executive producer Marc Guggenheim explained to TV Insider. "Doing Hourman on the show is also super exciting to us. But what really got our motors running was, it's not just Hourman, it's Hourman saying, 'I'm over there with the Justice Society of America.' We're going to do Justice Society of America next year.

For his part, Adams is stoked to don a cape once more.

"It's so cool [to wear the costume]. It's the dream," Adams enthused, according to TV Line. "I only got a little taste of it [in the finale], so like an addict I was like, 'I want to do more!'"

And we certainly hope he does! Hop back on the Waverider when Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
